So let’s start today’s topic.

Topic: INFERTILITY!

infertility means not being able to get pregnant after one year of trying, or, six months, if a woman is 35 or older. Women who can get pregnant but are unable to stay pregnant may also be infertile.
Pregnancy is the result of a process that has many steps.

TO GET PREGNANT.

A women must release an egg from one of her ovaries ( ovulation ).
The egg must go through a fallopian tube towards the uterus ( womb ).
A man’s sperm must join with ( fertilize ) the egg along the way.
The fertilized egg must attach to the inside of the uterus ( implantation ) so infertility can happen if there are problems with any of these step’s..👆

IS INFERTILITY A COMMON PROBLEM?

Yes about 10 percent of women, may be ( 7.8 million) in some country ranging from 15 – 45 have difficult getting pregnant or staying pregnant.

IS INFERTILITY A WOMAN PROBLEM?

No, infertility is not always a woman’s problem, Both women & men can have problem’s that causes infertility. About one – third of infertility cases are caused by women’s problem’s. Another one – third of fertility problem’s are due to the man. The other cases are caused by a mixture of male & female problem’s or by unknown problem’s..

LET’S LOOK AT IT SYMPTOMS!

The main sign of infertility is inability for a couple to get pregnant. These may be no other obvious symptoms. In some cases an infertile woman may have abnormal menstrual period’s. An infertile man man may have some sign’s of hormonal problem’s, such as change’s in hair growth or sexual function.

WHEN TO SEE A DOCTOR!

In general, don’t be too concerned about infertility unless you and your partner have been trying regularly to conceive for at least one year! Talk with your doctor earlier, however, if you’re a woman & you’re age 34 or older & have been trying to conceive for 6 months or longer, you menstruate irregularly or not at all your period’s are very painful. You have been diagnosed with endometriosis or pelvic inflammatory disease (P I D) you’ve hard more than one miscarriage. If you’re a man, talk to your doctor if you have low sperm count.
A history of testicular, prostate or sexual problem’s.

LET’S TALK ABOUT THE CAUSES!

WHAT CAUSES INFERTILITY IN MEN?

Infertility in men is most often caused by a problem called varicocele ( VAIR- ih- koh- seel ). This happens when the vein on a Man’s testicles.( s ) are too large. The heart can affect the number or shape of the sperm. Note: too much of wearing something inside coincidentally causes this as well. Sometimes is advice able, you should always make sure that there is always free space for air to pass through that side for the depreciation of the temperature over their. Because the higher the temperature, the higher it affect the sperm or shape of the sperm.
Sometimes injuries or other damage to the reproductive system block with the sperm. Sometimes some men do play this can of play by hitting you at your reproductive system, if you normally engage in such thing stop or you have a friend that normally do that give him a serious warning to stop it or you avoid him completely!
Sometimes men with this issue of infertility are born with the problem’s that affect his sperm. Other times problem’s start later in life due to illness or injury for example, cystic fibrosis often cause infertility in men:
Note, anything that can injure your reproductive system be it, play, temperature, accident might result to infertility most especially in men!

WHAT CAUSES INFERTILITY IN WOMEN?

Most causes of female infertility are caused by problem’s with ovulation. Without ovulation, there are no egg to be fertilized. Some signs that a woman is not ovulating normally include irregular or absent of menstrual period’s..
Ovulation problem’s are often caused by polycystic ovarian syndrome ( P C O S ) P C O S, is a hormone imbalance problem which can interfere with normal ovulation P C O S, is the most common caused of female infertility.
Primary ovarian insufficiency ( P O I ) is another cause of ovulation problem’s. P O I occur when a woman’s ovaries stop working normally before she is 40. P O I, is not the same as early menopause
Less common cause of infertility problem’s in women include. Blocked fallopian tubes due to pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis or surgery for an ectopic pregnancy 👉 that’s the conditions such that an organ or the other body part has an abnormal position. Ectopic or ectopia anyone!!
Physical problem’s with the uterus. Uterine fibroids which are non – cancerous clumps of tissue & muscle on the walls of the uterus.

LET’S SEE IT TREATMENT!

infertility can be treated with medicine, surgery, artificial insemination, or assisted reproductive technology, many times these treatment are combined. in most cases infertility is treated with drugs or surgery.
treatment for infertility based on test result! How long the couple has been trying to get pregnant, the age of both the man & woman, the overall health of the partner’s.
Doctors often treatment in men in the following ?
Sexual problem’s: doctors can help men deal with impotence or premature ejaculation, behavioral, therapy & / or medicine can be use in these cases. Too few sperm sometimes surgery can correct the cause of the problem. In other cases doctor’s surgically remove sperm directly from the male reproductive tract. Antibiotics can also be used to clear up infection’s affecting sperm count.
Sperm movement. Sometimes semen has no sperm because of a block in the man’s system. In some cases, surgery can correct the problem.
In women, some physical problem’s can also be corrected with surgery.
A number of fertility medicine are used to tract women with ovulation problem’s. Note: It is important to talk with your doctor about the pros & cons of these medicines. It’s important you ask your doctor the possible dangers, benefits & side effect of that medicines before proceeding with it or to drink it…

LET’S LOOK AT MEDICINE THAT ARE USED TO TREAT INFERTILITY IN WOMEN..

some common medicines are used to treat infertility in women include.
Clomiphene citrate ( clomid ): this medicine causes ovulation by acting on the pituitary gland. It’s often used in women who have polycystic ovarian syndrome ( P C O S ) or other problem’s with ovulation. This medicine is taken by mouth.
Human menopause gonadotrpin or hMG ( Repronex, pergoal ): this medicine is often used for women who don’t ovulate due to problem’s with their pituitary gland. hMG acts directly on the ovaries to stimulate ovulation. Its is an injected medicine.
Follicle stimulating hormone or fSH ( Gonal- F, follistim) FSH works much like hMG. It causes the ovaries to Begin the process of ovulation. These medicine are usually injected.
Gonadotropin – releasing hormone ( Gn -RH ) analog. These medicine are often used for women who don’t ovulate regularly each month. Women who ovulate before the egg is ready is also, use these medicines Gn – RH analog act on the pituitary gland to change when the body ovulates. these medicine are usually injected or given with a nasal spray,metformin ( G lucophage ) : these medicine are for women who have insulin resistance & / or P C O S.. This drugs helps to lower the high levels of male hormones in women with these conditions. This help the body to ovulate. Sometimes clomiphene citrate or fSH us combined withmetformin. This medicine is usually taken by mouth.
Bromocriptun ( parlodel ): this medicine is used for women with ovulation problem’s due to high level of prolactin. Prolactin is a hormone that causes milk production.
Many fertility drugs increase a woman’s chance of having twins, triplet’s or other multiples. Women who are pregnant with multiple fetuses have a high risk of being born too early. ( prematurely ). Premature babies are at a higher risk of health and developmental problem’s…

Note..
Women who always complain about having uterus ( womb ) pains, etc are likely to encounter infertility…

Men too much of high temperature, injuries, accident, playing with your reproductive system can result to infertility too… Like I said always make space for air to pass through, avoid friends who hit you at your reproductive system as if they are playing warn them seriously or you avoid them completely….
